Below are pics of several of the Christian Murals I am working on
on the walls of my martial arts dojo.
This large painting is of the Old Kirksville School, where my sons attended. It was closed down when a new school was built down the road. Some former students purchased the building and turned it into a Community Center. It was sold to the Community Center shortly after I became a board member.
This is the building where I opened my Christian Martial Arts Club.
Title: " Placid beginnings "
This painting is of the U.S.S. Lexington. I was an entry in a contest by Annapolis. I was proud to be in second
place. It is supposedly of a ship called the Uss lexngton. it was suppose to be one of the first ships to see combat in the Revolutionary war. They sent be a large article which I used to base this painting on.
Mysteriously I have not been able to find anything on this, and I have been researching for some time.
Since I don't know if it is historically accurate, I am selling it as a seascape, until I can find the truth.
If anyone has any information, please contact me.
There was an accident in moving this painting, and there was a slight tear in the canvas. That spot has been repaired and hidden by the mast
on the small boat approaching the ship. It is almost undetectable.
If you would like I could take some pics closeup and email them
to you for closer inspection. because of this damage I am discounting
the price 50%. It is still a beautiful paintinga and would be enhanced by a nice frame.... as all artworks are.
A pic of the painting in an old rustic frame I use  to display it.
I am selling this painting unframed.
Make Reasonable offer !
This is a painting of the Kirksville Baptist Church
I just started.
It is in the beginning stages of base coats
and development.

If you look, you can see the face of God
in the clouds at the left , looking down on his house.

This painting may be fiinished by the summer of 2006
This painting will be

Title:  "Dangerous Wildflowers"
I produced this painting for all you GAMERS out there who like to play those military games.
I have sat many an hour and watched my son playing "Battlefield". His favorite is being a sniper.
As mine would be! I would love to play this game but I know I would be so addicted I'm afraid I would forget to eat and pee.... and just waste away. Maybe when I retire? My Dad was a Drill Sergeant in the Green Beret Special Forces. He would be proud watching his grandson set up and pick off all those idiots that just run around without any planning or strategy. This art work depicts a silent Warrior setup in a rotted out tree trunk. He is so motionless and well hid that the birds, bugs, etc. don't detect his presence. This painting is about 98% completed, so after a week drying time, I will be putting it on ebay to see if anyone is interested in purchasing a very unique gift for someone... or themselves!
In this closer view, notice that the sniper did not have a good place to set his 50 caliber
stand,  so he tied two strong limbs to it to make it at the right height so he could shoot downhill
to his target. There are birds sitting in the branches around him, a snake crawling over his boot, a lizard crawling up his pant leg, and a cricket resting on his scope.... all unaware that death is so close. I have an idea I am kicking around that whomever buys one of my sniper paintings, If they would like to purchase a companion painting for the same price, I will custom paint them an "Impact" painting. It would be a painting that would show the intended victim of the sniper. It would be seconds before the sniper pulls the trigger. In the backgound of the "Impact" painting you will be able to see the hiding place of the sniper. I think it is a sweet idea. I enjoyed painting this painting so much, that I am going to paint a whole series call "Snipers" .  One reason I think I like this series so much is that some 32 years ago, during my martial arts training, I was heavily involved with Ninjitsu training. We had a overnight training session in the wooded forest area of Somerset Kentucky. I pulled off some very cool tricks and strategies that made me one of the last two survivors in both training sessions we had that night. Just think.... we are all having fun playing games and one of our true American Heroes is  probably setting up his rifle right now.... to protect our freedom to play. We should all be thankful for our courageous warriors of America. God Bless them!
